Grade: Grade 7 SCP 25 - 29 Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 37 Working Pattern: All year round Actual Salary: 35,235 - 38,626 Interview Date: W/C 16 th December 2024 The Brownhill Learning Community (BLC)is a federation of Brownhill Special School and the Pupil Referral Service (PRS) who work together to provide education provision for school aged pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs who are out of the mainstream environment. There are 3 BLC sites across Rochdale and 1 site in Heywood. The postholder will work across all of the 4 sites across the borough. Over the next 12 months the Governing Body for the Special school and the Management committee for the PRS are working closely with the local Authority to de federate and separate the Special school from the PRS. This post will still be needed after the defederation process has been completed Presently the finances and HR for the BLC are quite complex with funding for both the Special school provision and the PRS as well as many staff working across both provisions. In the staffing structure for Brownhill Learning Community there is a SBM Grade 9 and an SBM Grade 7 post. Both posts are presently vacant. The SBM Grade 9 will line manage the SBM Grade 7 until the defederation is completed and roles and responsibilities can be clearly defined once both posts have been filled.
