In a nutshell
Reporting to the Plant Manager and Managing Director, the SHE Manager will develop and maintain a health, safety and environment management system and provide a support service to line management to ensure safe systems of work are in place and complied with. The overall aim of the role is to ensure full legal compliance in health, safety and environment matters.
You will be responsible for recording and reporting all accidents, incidents and unsafe acts, and where applicable reporting these to HSE under RIDDOR requirements. You will need to ensure that all risk assessments for all known hazards are in place and maintained.
As part of your role liaising with senior management, you will carry out the necessary reporting, setting appropriate targets and objectives for improvements and risk reduction.
Job requirements:
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar, fast paced manufacturing sector and hold NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
You should have a proven track record in delivering a high standard of H&S training and ensuring all learning is up to date, including a comprehensive induction for new starters.
