As a Television Licence Field Officer, you will visit customers currently without a TV licence at addresses throughout the Stevenage area helping them firstly understand and comply with the legislation behind the TV licence, explaining how they can obtain one, and enabling them to find a payment plan that works for them.
Salary and Benefits:
• £30,000 annual salary
• Company car (includes personal use) or £3700 annual car allowance paid monthly
• Mileage allowance (paid in line with published HMRC rates) from home address each day
• 36.5-hour week on a flexible shift pattern, with a potential for a four-day working week
• Home-based with visits across your region (Ideally living in the SG postcode areas)

Core Responsibilities:
* Conduct door-to-door visits to properties where no TV licence is registered.
* Listen to customer reasoning for not having a licence and make an informed decision on next steps.
* Accurately record visit details and complete daily timesheets via the handheld device.
* Explain and sell the benefits of all licence payment schemes.
* Take and accurately record payment details.
* Attend court when required to give evidence in prosecution cases.
* Carry out work and attend meetings as directed by the Visiting Manager.
* Taking Records of Interview under caution.
What you'll need to bring:
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Physical mobility for visiting multiple locations daily.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an excellent standard of both verbal and written English.
* Previous experience is not essential; diverse backgrounds are welcome, provided you have excellent communication skills.
