DeanCross Surgery is situated in Plymstock with a practice population of around10,000 patients. Delivering greatcustomer service and outstanding care is a priority for every member of our team.
This role is pinnacle to us achieving this, you will be the first point ofcontact patients have with the practice, your ability to always remainprofessional and polite is essential. Your listening skills and supportivenature will help direct patients to the right service for their needs.

Main duties of the job
Answertelephone calls, listening with empathy and compassion to ensure that patientsare directed to the right service to meet their needs.
Awarenessof practice policies and procedures with the confidence to make reasonableadjustments to meet the needs of individuals.
Managethe front desk, welcoming visitors and supporting patients and colleagues to ensuresmooth running of the service.
Provideadministration support to clinicians/service providers when requested.
Managethe waiting rooms, keeping these tidy and well stocked.
Ensurepatient encounters are recorded accurately on clinical systems.
Managepatient prescriptions, ensuring these are processed and issued correctly.
Monitorand respond to emails into the surgery.
Preparepatient registration packs and ensure patient registrations are completed andprocessed correctly and timely.
Monitortasks, results, and referrals, following up queries and ensuring patients arekept informed of relevant results and treatment pathways.
Ensureyour work area and patient accessible areas are safe and free of adverse riskto health.
Workas part of the team to open the surgery at the start of the day, close andsecure the surgery at the end of the day.
