Role Purpose:
Supports the Wells team by overseeing all aspects of the wells contracts and procurement procedures and leading the commercial tender and subsequent negotiation, placement and maintenance of wells contracts. Ensures that commercial risks are managed, appropriate documentation is compiled and retained and that commercial practices are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance of Contracts Register, bid lists, ITT documents, clarifications, recommendation to award documentation.
2. Reviewing and optimising contract terms and conditions as part of a tender process.
3. Leading contract negotiations, clarifications and responses for all wells related contracts, MSA’s and Purchase Orders.
4. Contract drafting after award.
5. Maintain existing contracts, MSA’s and purchase/service orders to ensure accurate information, current price schedules and Terms and Conditions.
6. Development and maintenance of variation orders where project change dictates.
7. Administration of all wells contract and procurement activities. Assist in the development of wells commercial proposals and build-up of cost models to support the commercial basis.
Competence Requirements
Knowledge & Qualifications
1. Degree or NVQ with appropriate industry experience.
2. Knowledge of UK Oil and Gas contracting formats (LOGIC, BIMCO).
Skills & Experience
1. Experience of UK oil & gas drilling/wells services contracting activities.
2. Experience of logistics services contracting including vessels and helicopters.
3. Experience of UK oil & gas rig contracting and procurement procedures and processes.
4. IT literate with excellent competence of MS Office, Adobe and other appropriate software.
