Main Purpose
To carry out repairs and maintain Target Housing properties and grounds as part of our general maintenance team. To ensure that properties are contractually compliant. To carry out regular property inspections to ensure housing is to a good standard. Offer housing-related support to all Target tenants.
Specific Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Undertake all property repairs within agreed response times
2. Carry out scheduled and reactive repairs
3. Undertake routine property inspections and report any repairs in line with the contract
4. Cover out of hours emergency maintenance support and be on call on a regular rota basis, to cover weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays.
5. Ensure that any property/tenant related issues are documented correctly and in line with the contractual compliances.
6. Ensure that any health and safety or repair issues are recorded and communicated to Team Leader
7. When required, move furniture and white goods in and out of properties
8. Attend team meetings
9. Understand and implement Target’s Policy and Procedures
10. Understand confidentiality and its implications for the company’s work with clients
11. Perform any other such duties as required by Target Housing
Person Specification (To include some or all of the following skills):
1. Ability to meet physical demands of the role
2. Experienced general maintenance skills
3. Experience of garden maintenance
4. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to frequently changing roles
5. Ability to work constructively within a team
6. Willingness and ability to undertake health & safety qualification
7. A full driving licence is essential
