Job Description: Project Manager
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Salary: 50,000-55,000 + Car Allowance
About the Role: My client is looking for a dedicated Project Manager to oversee refurbishment, civils, and groundworks on projects within Barrow-in-Furness.
This role involves managing construction projects, including brick and block work, civils, and groundworks.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, capable of planning ahead, and experienced in using MS Project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Oversee construction works, ensuring all activities are planned and executed efficiently.
2. Programming: Utilize MS Project to plan and manage project timelines, looking ahead 4 weeks or more.
3. Client Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, ensuring all documentation is in place.
4. Contract Review: Review contract information and pass down duties to the Site Management team.
5. Site Oversight: Oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
6. Advance Planning: Plan and organize project activities in advance to ensure smooth execution.
7. Location Management: Ensure candidates are located within 45 minutes of Barrow-in-Furness.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
2. Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Project.
3. Industry Knowledge: Experience in civils/groundworks and awareness of health and safety regulations.
4. Location: Ideally based within 45 minutes of Kendal, Lakes, Cumbria.
