Description An accomplished IT/Agile Project Manager is required to join WTW Risk and Broking - Risk Technology function. We are responsible for a broad project portfolio including strategic technology delivery across the group. Working with vendors, actuaries and other stakeholders delivering change projects involving significant data, analytics, climate and externally facing technology components within the Risk and Analytics Platform. The successful applicant will work with the Risk & Analytics Programme Manager and report to the Risk Technology Portfolio Director. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key part in the transformation of a global financial services organisation. Working with cross-functional teams of software development specialists, geospatial information specialists and catastrophe and actuarial model builders. These teams bring best-in-class analytics, thought-leadership and expertise in designing, building and supporting industry standard risk analysis and client facing tools. This role functions in a hybrid working style with 1-2 days per week in the Ipswich office. Occasional travel will be required to our London office as well as the possibility of overseas travel to support engagement with business and technology stakeholders. The Role Liaise with business and technology stakeholders to effectively manage software development projects. Proactive Engagement with all stakeholders throughout the Solution Delivery Life Cycle to ensure a full end to end delivery has been implemented Build effective working relationships with business and technology stakeholders. Facilitate a collaborative team environment across all areas of business and technology. Lead project delivery teams providing clear project structure, direction and prioritisation. Work within the Project Delivery Framework following Project Management best practice and governance. Understanding, creation, and maintenance of project artefacts (e.g. Project Initiation Document, High Level Project Plans etc.) to support in the understanding and development of agreed deliverables. Ensure the proposed solutions meet the stakeholders needs whilst complying with WTW Group Strategic Architectural, Security and Compliance guidelines Work with fellow Project Managers to successfully deliver software applications and develop our project management standards Produce regular, concise and accurate progress reports to the Programme Manager and other stakeholders. Effectively manage, resolved and escalate Risks, Issues and Dependencies Facilitate project estimation including timelines and resources/skillsets required for both new and change requests within active projects Ensure applications are fully transitioned to Service Management Collaborate closely with other team members and stakeholders delivering in a timeboxed approach Qualifications The Requirements: Must have strong working experience in IT Agile Project Management Experience of managing full IT project lifecycle from idea to through to hand-over to operational support Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders to report on progress against agreed deliverables and to highlight/escalate any issues or barriers to delivery A good level of technical knowledge Ability to project manage projects concurrently Ability to engage with business and technology stakeholders at all levels, both on and off shore, and across various geographies / time-zones. Ability to work both independently without close supervision, and collaboratively, and to make key decisions in support of applicable work-streams, while adhering to Group and programme strategy and objectives Innovative and willing to research and develop personal and team knowledge and skillsets. Experience of both waterfall and agile delivery methods and understanding appropriate applications of each Desirable: APMP, Prince2 or Agile certified Previously worked in a financial services organisation ideally insurance Worked with PMO to deliver Agile projects whilst complying with corporate governance gate/check point procedures A Technical background Experience in developing and implementing process improvements Facilitation and coordination of business/user requirements gathering experience from key stakeholders and end users Understanding of prototypes, mock-ups and/or wireframes as part of product development. Understanding of data-model diagrams, and the ability to understand relational structures.
