Job summary
:
As a H&S administrator, you will use your knowledge and skills to support and promote a positive H&S culture and provide H&S support on our sites throughout the UK and Ireland.
You will ensure company employees and subcontractor workers fully comply with all relevant H&S legislation, company H&S policy and ensure industry good practices are adopted and adhered to.
What you'll do
Your role will invovle:
1. Maintain and update H&S records, including training records, incident reports, and risk assessments.
2. Prepare and distribute H&S reports, policies, and procedures.
3. Manage and coordinate H&S systems.
4. Process incoming and outgoing mail, dealing with correspondence related to H&S.
5. Maintain an effective filing system and ensure the security and confidentiality of information.
6. Support incident investigations and preventive actions.
7. Support health & safety programs, including training and competency frameworks.
8. Participate in wider Group Health, Safety and Wellbeing initiatives.
9. Act as the first point of contact for H&S inquiries, both internally and externally.
10. Communicate effectively with staff, managers, and other departments regarding H&S matters.
11. Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance
12. Make contact with contractors for up to date information
13. Analyze existing H&S data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
14. Collate safety observations and near miss reports
15. Track and monitor performance against H&S targets and metrics.
16. Assist with the preparation of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
17. Support the delivery of H&S training programs.
18. Assist with the development and implementation of H&S policies and procedures.
19. Maintain and distribute toolbox talks and safety alerts.
What you'll bring
Essential Criteria:
20. Demonstrable experience working in the Construction Industry.
21. Full Driving License.
22. Excellent communication skills
23. Knowledge of H&S legislation, risk assessment, and safety culture development.
24. Proficiency in IT systems.
25. Flexibility for UK & ROI travel.
Desirable Criteria:
26. The National General Certificate in Occupational H&S - delivered by NEBOSH
27. Membership of appropriate accredited industry body -eg: IOSH (Technical or Grad IOSH).
28. The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and as an individual.
29. Knowledge of ISO 45001, 9001, 14001
