The role of Mechanical/Plant Fitter (Workshop based):
Responsible for the servicing and maintenance of our plant hire fleet/machinery and our wide range of construction equipment, the main duties within this role include:
* Professionally and effectively checking and diagnosing mechanical problems
* Repairing and replacing of faulty parts
* Conducting routine maintenance in line with company standards
* Provide the best possible turnaround for Off Hires
* Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including safety checks, implementing safe working procedures, and escalating further concerns to supervisor/plant operation manager.
* Ensuring high quality company standards and understanding the impact of great customer service.
Are you the right person for this role?
* A solid understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems specific to the operations of heavy plant machinery
* Experience gained in the Plant Industry or similar
* An effective communicator, specifically in explaining technical issues
* The ability to work in a busy environment
* Being a team player is vital in this role, but you will also be able to work on your own initiative
