We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Early Years provision at Windwhistle Primary School working with children aged 3-4 years.
About you
• You should have a strong interest in working with children to help them develop and grow.
• You should demonstrate a good work ethic and be able to communicate effectively with the people around you, making sure that you treat both other staff and children with respect and care at all times.
• You should have a can-do attitude.
• You should bring excitement and fun to the early years setting.
You will work closely with the nursery and preschool manager to resource and adapt planning and support high quality teaching and learning across all subjects. You will help to create learning environments where pupils can expand their knowledge. You will work with the school community to uphold our trust and school values.
You need to be proactive, energetic, and committed to engaging pupils, developing their desire to learn. You will help to inspire them to be confident and independent. You will also need to be calm, patient, sensitive and able to comfort children when they’re upset.
You will:
• have EYFS experience
• have empathy for and enjoyment of working with children
• have a working knowledge of effective safeguarding practice
• have strong Communication and interpersonal skills
• hold a Level 3 or above relevant childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
• have willingness to engage in training and reflect for their own development
• understand that everyone is different and make sure everyone who attends our setting is respected and given the best experience
• be self-motivated, flexible and solution focused approach
• have the ability to keep calm under pressure and in challenging situations
• have the ability to provide support and guidance whilst promoting learning and respect
• be a good team player
• have an understanding of disadvantage and the barriers to learning
