St Mary s CE Primary Wright Street Platt Bridge Wigan WN2 3NX 32.5 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year Salary: Grade 3, 17,647 - 18,207 per annum. 12.45 - 12.85 per hour St Mary s CE Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative, motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team. We are particularly looking for people who would prefer to work in Key Stage 2 but this is not essential. The job will involve working with groups, individual children and whole class support as necessary. The successful applicants will be based with one class for the majority of the time but could work with other children as required. Flexibility is essential as our Teaching Assistants move around to suit the needs of the children. Teaching Assistants at St Mary s also provide lunchtime cover on a rota basis. You must enjoy working as part of a team and have a great sense of humour. You must be determined to help our children progress and have the initiative needed to personalise support. You will have excellent behaviour management and a nurturing approach. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference and work with a strong team. Previous experience of working with primary aged children with a range of needs is desirable. Please state on the application which interventions you are trained to or have delivered and your preferred key stage. Your literacy and numeracy skills must be of a high standard with a good understanding of the national curriculum in both subjects. Training and support will be provided as required.
