Position: Senior Human Resources Advisor
Location: Gillingham, United Kingdom
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday: 07:30–16:00, Tuesday–Thursday: 07:30–15:30, Friday: 07:30–14:30 (37 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). Some flexibility may be required.
Role Overview:
Act as a strategic partner to managers and employees, aligning HR initiatives with organisational goals. Ensure compliance with UK employment laws, foster a positive workplace culture, and support organisational performance. Manage complex employee relations cases, workplace investigations, and HR policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
* Provide data-driven insights to support informed decision-making.
* Advise managers on HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
* Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
* Conduct workplace investigations and resolve conflicts effectively.
* Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies and procedures.
* Deliver training to managers on employment law and HR best practice.
* Support workforce planning, recruitment, and succession planning.
* Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
* Lead organisational change initiatives, including restructures.
* Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and recommend actions.
* Design and lead recruitment and wellbeing initiatives.
* Manage and deliver HR projects.
Person Specification:
* CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification.
* Significant experience in a senior HR role, with a focus on employee relations.
* Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., Workday HRIS) and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Strategic thinker with adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
* Attention to detail and ability to build trust at all levels.
