Digital Workplace Engineer - Permanent
Digital Workplace Engineer - 8 months FTC starting in December 2024
The Digital Workplace Engineer role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting technology solutions that enable modern and collaborative work environments using a range of technologies, particularly Microsoft products and services. This role is centered around leveraging a suite of productivity tools, cloud services, and security offerings to enhance workplace productivity, communication, and collaboration.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide technical ownership of Aston Martin F1’s Microsoft ecosystem. This will include troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and supporting the organization’s business objectives. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies, as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Training and qualifications are on offer to accompany the role with new technologies and expansion of knowledge.
Responsibilities:
1. Designing, documenting, implementing, and managing workplace technology solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
2. User support and training to assist with educating peers in other teams.
3. Maintaining system security by applying patches and updates, ensuring overall stability and availability.
4. Staying updated with technology trends.
5. Collaboration with cross-functional teams within IT and across the business.
Skills & Attributes:
1. In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Windows 10, 11, and Windows Server.
2. Proficiency in managing and administering Active Directory.
3. Experience with Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra.
4. Familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Manager for managing and securing devices.
5. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration tasks.
6. Understanding of SharePoint administration and configuration.
7. Proficiency in managing Microsoft Teams for unified communications.
8. Familiarity with patch management using tools such as SCCM.
9. Knowledge of deploying and managing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
10. Proficiency in securing our estate, including end-point protection and DLP.

Location:
