Line Manager (Supported Living & Enabling)

Salary: £27,500 - £29,500*
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Line Manager to work in a privately owned Supported Living service for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The company is looking for a confident and competent Line Manager to assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with leading a team of support staff. The ideal candidate will already be in a similar role and have the experience and knowledge in leading staff and managing dispersed teams and services. The company is a well-established organisation that prides itself on supporting their staff and delivering an excellent quality of care to the service users we support.
As a Line Manager, you will be required to:
* Assist the senior management in ensuring compliance with the service specifications and CQC standards.
* Undertake assessments of people needing care and support, as well as working closely with healthcare professionals and others.
* Provide support to service users to the highest standard at all times.
* Undertake regular auditing and monitoring ensuring the service remains compliant in all areas.
* Regularly seek the views of people we support and their families, acting on constructive feedback received as appropriate. Ensure concerns and complaints are dealt with promptly and effectively as per policies.
* Ensure that service users' care plans and risk assessments are accurate, up-to-date and regularly reviewed to meet best practice requirements, national standards, and the requirements of our regulator, ensuring staff are trained to use these.
* Undertake Mental Capacity assessments and DoLS applications.
* Organise and attend review meetings with professionals.
* Help the service to recruit and develop new care workers, supporting, supervising and performance managing them.
* Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, residents, clients and their families, GP’s, Community Learning Disabilities Team and our purchasers, maintaining a positive public image.
* Promote and maintain good channels of communication amongst the teams and between people we support and staff.
* Supervise support staff.
* Work with staff teams to continue development of a culture which reflects organisation values, ensuring respect, positivity, collaboration, openness, and honesty.
* Work effectively as part of a team demonstrating both tact and diplomacy.
* Have an awareness of the need for strict confidentiality in carrying out duties.
* Prioritise own work, setting and agreeing measurable objectives as appropriate. Make regular assessments of progress, ensuring that any significant delays are dealt with satisfactorily.
* Work flexibly across our service.
* Undertake on-call duties to ensure 24-hour cover across the service.
Applicant must have the following requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care with a willingness to undertake Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
* All mandatory training relevant to the role including safeguarding, MCA & DoLs.
* Previous management/supervisory experience.
* Good understanding of Safeguarding, MCA, DoLS in community settings.
* Good organisational skills.
* Good communication skills (verbal and written).
* Enjoy being active and supporting people in their homes and in the community.
* Enjoy working creatively with service users.
* Be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends with sleep-ins where necessary.
* Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
* A confident approach, outgoing personality and a good sense of humour.
A Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle is desired.
