We are a close-knit family run Hyundai dealership, working for a manufacturer who are increasing in popularity and one of the innovators of alternative fuelled vehicles. With exciting new products being released regularly with a strong emphasis on reliability.

* Store, maintain, including calibration checks, and return tools and equipment to storage.
* Access vehicle technical data to inform inspections and make judgements on wear and serviceability.
* Comply with environmental and sustainability procedures, regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling, and disposal.
* Apply vehicle safety inspection and routine maintenance procedures using vehicle specific data on car, car derived van or light goods vehicle.

* Apply state-of-health condition monitoring tests to high voltage batteries and chargers for electrified cars, car derived vans, or light goods vehicles.
* Apply four-wheel geometry checks and adjustments to cars, car derived vans, and light goods vehicles.
* Apply safe working practices and procedures to isolate electrified vehicles for maintenance.
* Record vehicle service maintenance, parts replacement, or repair.
* Apply customer service principles and organisational customer care practices. For example, identifying customer and vehicle needs, resolve low level customer complaints, make recommendations to customers based on results of inspection, maintenance, or repair of vehicles, customer payment transactions and organisational sales processes.

Your training plan
The successful apprentice will complete the Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship and receive either a grade Pass or Distinction. The employer welcomes applications from those that have already completed a Level 2 diploma at college, in which case we would be able to enrol you onto the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship.
If you don’t have a Level 2 maths and English qualification you will complete Functional Skills in maths and English. You will complete these qualifications alongside your day in college.
Day-release will be at the Eastbourne campus, once a week, term time only. An assessor will visit you every 10-12 weeks onsite. Please ensure you can travel to this location in East Sussex before applying.

Other requirements
-The employer welcomes applications from those wishing to complete a Level 2 or Level 3 apprenticeship. -Day-release will be once a week, from East Sussex College’s, Eastbourne campus. This is a mandatory part of the apprenticeship. -We are a small team with 21 staff members overall, there are 4 other team members in the workshop who work closely together and socialise outside of work. We have two very experienced technicians who would mentor you on a day to day basis. We have an annual staff Christmas party so everyone can socialise outside of the workplace. -The start date is negotiable.
