Finance Lawyer, Senior Associate - 6 years PQE Location: Belfast Brief We are currently looking to recruit a Finance Senior Associate 6 years PQE, to join our Belfast Finance Team. Background We advise a broad range of lenders and borrowers on a wide variety of syndicated and bilateral financing transactions. We act for all the UK clearing banks and a growing number of other European banks and borrowers on all types of facilities, from acquisition finance, real estate finance, social housing, education finance and general corporate lending to debt capital markets. Our practice is broad and very varied. We advise on English law matters and high value NI local market transactions. We are always client facing and have advised on several high value and significant financing transactions across the UK. We deliver a high-quality legal service banking and finance team with access to a deep knowledge of current market practice. We deliver this through a partner led service and strongly believe in being fully joined up across our global network of offices. Our talented team of lawyers has an insight and appreciation of the needs and pressures of clients in the financial services sector. We are renowned for the quality and speed of delivery of our advice, our innovative thinking and a grasp of commercial issues. The successful candidate will: have gained experience in a commercial law firm in Northern Ireland, England, or Ireland have general banking experience with particular focus on real estate finance and general corporate lending; ideally have experience in Social Housing (but not essential) and be willing to learn new skills; be confident in drafting and negotiating LMA documentation; be a team player, able to forge strong working relationships with colleagues both in the office and in an agile environment; be technically strong and exercise good commercial judgment; have the interpersonal skills necessary for this client-facing role; have experience in people management and supervising/training junior solicitors and trainees; have a \"can-do\" attitude and be willing to work with colleagues and partners collaboratively and enthusiastically in the national finance practice, and other senior lawyers in that group, on both transactions and practice development; and be NI qualified and preferably England and Wales qualified or be willing to gain the qualification.
