Unsted Park School is a specialist residential and day school/6th form college for children and young people with higher functioning autism. The role of the Therapy Assistant is to work within the Therapy Team across all disciplines to support our learners to achieve their outcomes in line with their ECHP. Duties will include:
* Assisting trained clinicians with the preparation
* Planning and delivery of group and one-to-one occupational therapeutic and recreational activities
* Observing recording and reporting to the assigned clinician as appropriate
* Creating appealing visual resources for sessions
* Managing a caseload of students
* planning, running, and recording 1:1 and group therapy sessions across various therapies
* Assists with the assessment and transition of new learners ensuring they are familiar with the environment
* Creation of initial supporting documentation such as Individual Placement Plans and Provision Maps
* Ensures the effective, timely and accurate updating of clinical records, case files and computerised information systems as directed while responding to routine enquiries and standard requests for information in accordance with policies and procedures
* IT Skills such as word and excel to contribute to surveys, the collection, analysis and presentation of data and information as directed
