Join us at Barclays in the Office of Legal Obligation (OLO) as a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager. In this role you will work collaboratively with others to develop strong client relationships and lead delivery of the OLO Quality Assurance Plan. You will be responsible for providing quality assurance for the effectiveness of key processes. You will be responsible for maintaining the Quality assurance playbook including scripts, sampling and execution guidance as well as monitoring of the relevant OLO areas subject to Quality Assurance. Other tasks in role include but are not limited to, assessing the QA framework periodically, evaluating OLO procedures and guidance documents and evaluating the effectiveness of the processes, systems and products in accordance with quality standards. To be successful as a OLO Quality Assurance Manager you should have: Experience of working in financial institutions, including operations. Experience of working in a risk and control role/environment. Experience of leading teams and developing test plans in a global organisation. Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with executive management. Some other highly valued skills include: Track record of success/high performance in a large, matrix organisation. Evidence of driving change/leading business initiatives/contributing to team and function strategy. An understanding of Data Analytics and Agile, including how to apply these to Quality Assurance. This role will be based out of Knutsford. Purpose of the role To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk. Accountabilities Collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings. Identification and investigation of potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank's control framework, prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations. Development of reports to communicate key findings from risk assessment including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders. Execution of reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation, and best practice. Implementation of adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework.
