This is an exciting opportunity at East Sussex HealthCare NHS Trust to lead our Critical Care teams across 2 acute sites as the 8a Matron. The post holder will have a key strategic and clinical role within the critical care service. They will work to improve the outcomes and experience of critically ill patients across the Trust, establishing optimal levels of care. They will also enhance optimal staff experience cultivating an environment that is positive and open. The Matron will develop and contribute to educational development of all staff as well as the operational running of the department. This is a key pivotal role in developing the critical care services at ESHT to the highest possible standard and showcase the units, division and to adhere and promote the trust values and vision. The Matron (Band 8a) will work collaboratively within the Senior Divisional/Nursing teams to ensure that National, Regional and Trust strategies are developed and implemented at a local level.
