What you'll do: We have five Mechanical Engineering Internships available across three of our UK locations. Each placement requires the intern to collaborate with experienced engineers to deliver design, prototype and/or manufacturing projects. "Depending on the business and location your responsibilities may include: Assisting and leading the the creation and improvement of product designs. Design and test prototypes, evaluating and enhancing product performance. Utilise CAD software to produce detailed drawing and models; convert formats from other software programmes. Use COMSOL software to validate product performance. Investigate jig fixture productivity. Commission test systems and create test reports. Partner with the Manufacturing team to facilitiate the smooth transition from design to production, with a focus on design optimisation for manufacturing and assembly. Lead small projects and engage cross functional teams to deliver results. " Qualifications: Studing for Bacheler's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; working towards a minimum 2:1 requirement Skills: Technical writing, MATLAB, Simulink, CAD packages, Solidworks. High level of motivation, flexibility and team spirit. Able to work independently and demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines. Displays curiousity and competent communicator.
