Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Officer for a fixed term period of 1 year.
Within the role you will be responsible for supervising the maintenance team on a day to day basis and be responsible for the running of the association's reactive, planned & cyclical maintenance.
The role is a fully office-based role (pilot from April for 1 day per week home working), and is ideally full-time; however, they would consider 4 days (either condensed hours or reduced hours).
The main duties of the role are:
* Reactive repairs & maintenance - lead staff in providing a high-quality maintenance service including liaising with contractors and monitoring contractors' performance.
* Void management - manage inspections to identify defects in void properties and manage post inspections to bring void properties up to the re-let standard.
* Planned & cyclical maintenance - manage the planned and cyclical maintenance programmes from pre-start to completion, including march-in surveys, regular site visits whilst contracts are on-site, inspection and signing off works as completed, and ensuring works progress to a high standard.
* Team management - day to day responsibility for 3 staff members.
To be considered for the post you must have the below experience:
* HNC/HND in Building Studies/Construction Management or equivalent or demonstrate an acceptable level of transferable skills and experience.
* Detailed working knowledge of property repairs and maintenance, ideally within a social housing setting.
* Proven track record in effectively managing and delivering property investment and maintenance programmes.
* Working knowledge and understanding of current building regulations, health and safety legislation, gas safety, fire, electrical safety, asbestos management, legionella, damp, condensation & mould, procurement, and sustainability.
* Experience/knowledge of procurement of contracts via the most appropriate route (for example, tender, quotation, or framework agreement).
