Position: Team Leader – Children’s Homes
Salary: Up to £31,366 (including two sleep-in shifts a month on a 40-hour contract)

The Role: We are looking for dynamic individuals who want to make a difference and foster a culture of curiosity and inclusion. You will support and lead a small team to enhance children’s well-being. This shift-based role will include a combination of early, late and sleep-in shifts with some long day working to ensure the needs of the service are met 365 days of the year, including weekend and bank holiday work. You will assist with care planning and develop tailored activity plans with the children in our care, focusing on providing exceptional services for our children with learning disabilities. Our home accommodates up to four children, some of whom may have complex needs. Although this role can be challenging, it is incredibly rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Deputy and Manager in running the home to ensure appropriate coverage on all shifts.
2. Work closely with the Deputy and Manager to ensure care planning is on point and that staff follow the care plans and risk assessments.
3. Support staff in maintaining outstanding care for our children, enhancing the quality of life for all the children.
4. Develop strong communication skills to collaborate with key professionals involved in the child’s care.
5. Promote a culture of care and inclusion among both the children and the staff team.
Skills and Knowledge:
1. Ability to work effectively as part of a team with shared objectives and goals.
2. Capability to work under pressure while leading a staff team.
3. Knowledge of learning disabilities and experience in children's residential care is advantageous.
4. Must have started or be able to start a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People.
5. Car Driver is desirable.
