This role is based in a busy, fast-paced office. It will suit someone used to dealing with a high volume of accounts.
Responsibilities:
1. Weekly review of debtors list, prioritise actions.
2. Ensure daily cash and debtor targets are met.
3. Evaluate the credit status of clients to identify debtors and credit level.
4. Assist customers in setting up a credit control system that allows for periodic debt repayment.
5. Conduct negotiations with debtors to fix terms and conditions for payment of receivables.
6. Handle internal issues and ensure timely payment to creditors.
7. Contact debtors through calls, emails, or letters to notify them of outstanding invoices.
8. Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure proper management of debt.
9. Conduct business operations in compliance with standard policies and regulations.
10. Maintain proper records of client accounts and purchasing activities.
11. Monitor payment history to identify changes in reparation and take necessary actions.
12. Conduct reconciliation of debtor ledger accounts.
13. Proffer recommendations and advice on queries regarding accounts receivable.
14. Ensure prompt reply to client and internal feedback.
15. Commence legal action against debtors in the event of halted payment.
16. Propose irrecoverable debts to be written off or employ strategies to recover receivables in cases of debtor bankruptcy.
17. Oversee the forwarding of monthly statements to clients to keep them updated on debt collection activities.
