We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Larchfield Manor on nights with some day cover at peak periods.
What you’ll be doing
Leading a small team on your shift, taking responsibility to support the clients we are caring for.
Administering medication to residents
Assisting and providing support for residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals
Providing physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group
Helping to maintain accurate records and undertaking ongoing training.
Generally promoting our residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care
What you’ll need
Ideally, both experience in a care environment and an NVQ 3 in Care, although we will consider people who are willing to work towards a qualifications. What is essential is your genuine desire to develop a career in this field and support our residents
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a dedicated team
A respectful, courteous and compassionate nature and a belief in giving your personal best at all times and striving for continuous improvement.
