We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Groundworks Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our groundworks projects. This role involves managing site teams, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing groundworks packages on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects, with a firm grasp of site logistics, programme management, and health & safety. Groundworks Manager Key Responsibilities: Manage the delivery of groundworks packages including site clearance, foundations, drainage, roads, sewers, and external works. Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and plant/equipment resources. Ensure all site works are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and health & safety compliance. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve any site issues quickly and effectively. Monitor materials, labour, and equipment usage. Maintain accurate daily records and site reporting. Requirements: Proven experience as a Groundworks Manager or Site Manager within civil engineering or construction. Strong knowledge of groundworks operations including drainage, concrete, roads, and utilities. SSSTS or SMSTS – Essential First Aid at Work – Essential Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
