Assistant Management Accountant - 2 year FTC

Remuneration: £37,000 - 38,918 per annum

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance? Our client, a leading non-profit organisation, is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic team. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Financial Planning and Analysis team, contributing to the accurate and timely provision of financial information and aiding decision-making processes.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the Finance Business Partners by providing accurate and timely management information, budget monitoring, analysis, and advice to budget holders and stakeholders.
2. Working collaboratively with the finance team to develop a high-quality finance service, including best practice internal reporting, analysis, and relevant challenge and insight.
3. Conducting double-entry bookkeeping and basic accounting adjustments, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Using advanced MS Excel skills to manipulate and analyse large volumes of data efficiently and produce reports.
5. Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts and budget holder reports, conducting variance analysis and preparing variance commentary.
6. Providing guidance and support to key stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial control requirements.
7. Collaborating with colleagues to drive process improvements and enhance overall efficiency.
8. Assisting with annual statutory audits and internal audits, providing accurate financial information.
9. Supporting the finance team and providing cover as needed.

Requirements:
1. Studying towards or gained AAT or equivalent accounting qualification.
2. Experience in a finance function, preferably in management accounting.
3. Excellent IT skills, including advanced MS Excel and experience with financial systems packages.
4. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
