This role will involve assisting a team of project workers in Establishing positive relationships with young people supporting and enabling them to increase their confidence and realise their potential, fully integrating them into all session and activities Facilitating the active involvement of young people in the planning and development of the learning and skills development programmes Ensuring that the youth work team creates a safe and supportive environment where young people are able to relax, learn, meet friends, make new relationships, have fun and find support. Supporting young people to complete their individual youth award portfolio’s and record their achievements on the Management and Performance Information System Supporting young people to access positive opportunities and create safe relationships within their communities. The Person We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is educated to SCQF level 6, or equivalent. In addition, we are looking for someone who is creative and has knowledge of engaging young people using digital creative media. The successful applicant must also: Be assertive, confident, and levelheaded. Be flexible and able to work on their own initiative. Have excellent team working skills. Be methodical and well organised. Possess a good level of IT Skills and capable of working a variety of digital applications such as SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Forms. Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
