Vacancy: Senior Maintenance Surveyor

Salary: £42,847.28
Job Purpose:
To support the Property services manager on the delivery of all surveying aspects associated with the quality day to day maintenance of the housing stock (voids, reactive and major works), ensuring that all properties are maintained to WHQS and that property matters conform to current legislation, health and safety, CDM Regulations and contract procurement rules. To deputise for the Property services manager when required.
Specifically, the Senior Maintenance Surveyor will:
To support the Property Services Manager in ensuring that performance and productivity of the team is met to the agreed objectives by auditing of works.
To lead by example and provide subject matter expert support to the Maintenance Surveyors to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective service.
Supporting the Maintenance Surveyors when required to inspect and diagnose repairs and manage the delivery of works on site, either directly or through others.
Support the Surveying team where appropriate. Ensure effective delivery and challenge to ensure quality and cost efficiency to aid in the objective of ensuring 'value-for-money.'
Support and deputise for the Property services manager at monthly contractor meetings to ensure KPI's are met and improvement plans put in place where required.
Collaboratively with procurement, support the designing of tenders for specialist contractors and follow the process through to appointment of contractors.
Collaboratively support the complaints process, ensuring that each case is investigated, and a response is provided to all relevant parties.
Ensure adherence to financial regulations, SLA's, contractual obligations and association policies and procedures, e.g. with regards to variation orders, recharge disputes, insurance inspection programmes, internal job costing systems and pre and post inspections.
