Position:
Due to the secondment of the current post holder, NHS Ayrshire & Arran is inviting applications for the position of Site Superintendent Radiographer for a 12 month period at University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team and assist the Head of Imaging in maintaining clinical and professional standards whilst providing comprehensive and effective day-to-day management of the service. Applicants should have a wide range of general radiographic experience gained over 5 years or more and some management experience. Experience managing a team, and evidence of management training would be desirable, although not essential.
You will be actively involved in departmental audit activities, demonstrate a strong commitment to personal development, and must be able to provide evidence of supporting staff training and development. Our department actively promotes a positive culture of CPD.
You should have strong leadership qualities, organisational skills, and the ability to share and develop ideas to enable the delivery of a high-quality service. Excellent communication and team working skills are crucial. You would be expected to be involved in the development and maintenance of staff rotas; therefore, experience in this would be advantageous.
It is essential you have a BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography / Imaging Sciences with current registration with the HCPC. An up-to-date Continuing Personal Development portfolio is required.
You must be a car driver.
The hours of duty are 37 hours, 9-5 Monday to Friday (4.30 finish to be taken on a mutually convenient day).
