Job Description
Job Title: Cloakroom Attendant
Department: Housekeeping
Inspired and Supported by: Executive Housekeeper
Salary: £30,570 per annum /£14.70 per hour (including service charge)
Your purpose will be: Responsible for the Hotel’s Cloakrooms from both ongoing service and cleanliness.
You will be accountable for:
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Showing utmost courtesy to all guests and helping whenever the need arises.
* Giving guests directions as needed.
* Tagging all bags and coats properly and handing over to the guest the corresponding number.
* Keeping all bags out of sight and secure.
* Returning any items to guests only when the corresponding ticket is handed in.
* Handing over all Lost and Found articles to Security by the end of shift.
* Ensuring that any ticket loss is resolved to the full satisfaction of the guest with the help of Security.
* Arranging with Valet to supply customers with jackets and ties to comply with dress code when needed.
* Acting as an Ambassador for the hotel, interacting with all guests and patrons positively and engagingly at every opportunity.
* Keeping all wet areas (urinals, toilets, washbasins, floor) spotlessly clean at all times.
* Ensuring a constant supply of clean hand towels and other items as required.
* Monitoring and replacing all paper requirements in a timely manner.
* Leaving on display and refilling agreed guest supplies.
* Maintaining stock of additional items to be available upon request.
* Providing shoe shine service if and when needed.
* Handing out towels to patrons and assisting in other reasonable hygiene needs (e.g., turning on taps) as required.
* Cooperating fully with all other operating departments in the hotel.
Qualifications
What you will need to do in this role:
* 1-3 years’ experience working in the Hospitality Industry.
* Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal.
* A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
* Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others.
* Proven organizational skills, works well independently. Able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
* Applicable job-related skills as per Accountable Duties.
