Principal Information Management Specialist - Systems Integration
KBR’s global business comprises two main segments – Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). This role sits within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.
KBR is looking for a Principal Information Management Specialist - Systems Integration to work in our Leatherhead offices.
The Principal Specialist IM Systems role is responsible for the setup, management, and operation of interfaces between engineering applications such as SMARTPLANT and AVEVA suite (Engineering Data Warehouse and Digital Twin technology). The role ensures that data is correctly shared, complete, consistent, accurate, and includes the administration of data repositories where the project engineering and supplier data is stored and maintained. It involves receiving or performing data transfers, managing changes, and generating reports and to ensure effective exchange and handover of a complete, accurate dataset to the Client for the operations phase.
Development and maintenance of project tag numbering schema, Class Libraries, production of deliverables, reporting and data progress measurement.
Key Activities:
1. Plan, direct, co-ordinate and be the focal point for data management systems integration.
2. Facilitate the setup and configuration of the data repositories to meet the project requirements.
3. Understand corporate requirements for data collection, conditioning, reporting and handover.
4. Working knowledge, understanding and expertise in AVEVA and Hexagon toolset as follows:Configuration of data entry tables (grids)Data access controls.Data import, export, transform and load.Prepare reports.Experience in tag management.Automation.Class libraryAdmin level support to define and configure Class LibrariesConfiguring ISM with tag naming structures.Define and list of values, unit of measure etc.Manage transfer of Class Library data into Engineering Data Warehouse and Digital Twin environment.Understand complex regular expression.Setup and ensure compliance with Data StandardsDefine and develop Project Data reports and statistics.Coordinates with project disciplines to resolve any data inconsistencies, errors or mapping issues associated with interfaces.
Experience, Education, Skills & Job Knowledge
5. University degree qualification or equivalent oil and gas industry experience.
6. A relevant number years of experience in an engineering data system.
7. Experience of using and managing Engineering Data Warehouses such as AVEVA Engineering, SMARTPLANT Foundation, Li or similar. Life Cycle Server
8. Experience of using and managing engineering class libraries using AVEVA Information Standards Manager or similar.
9. IT Skills – Excellent working knowledge of databases and reporting
10. A good technical background in Oracle 12c, PL\SQL, ETL and data warehousing.
11. Expertise with writing and optimising Oracle/SQL stored procedures and query performance.
12. Automation of processes using different scripting languages like PowerShell, CMD etc.
13. Strong design and architecture skills
14. Designing and implementing new business logic / reports as SQL inside stored procedures within the existing system / reporting framework, as well as enhancing and maintaining existing functionality
15. Self-sufficient and be creative in defining reporting/data solutions.
16. A strong background with the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, Power BI).
17. Knowledge of AVEVA Net, AIM and Engage or similar.
18. Knowledge of CFIHOS.
