We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bench Joiner and a Site Joiner to join this well-established bespoke joinery manufacturer and installation company in Stockport. We are looking for Joiners with previous experience in refurbishing and installing traditional windows and doors including sash and casement, and an immediate start is available for the right candidates.

Our client specialises in traditional timber windows and doors. They manufacture and install bespoke kitchen bedrooms and other cabinetry, operating all over the Northwest on listed buildings and in conservation areas.
About the role
As an experienced Bench Joiner / Site Joiner, you will install new and refurbish all types of traditional timber windows and doors. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Performing carpentry tasks with the highest quality of craftsmanship in the time allotted.
2. Keeping informed of the entire project scope including revisions, change orders or changes to the scope of work and the schedule.
3. Communicating clearly and effectively with the Director, Operations Manager, subcontractors, and clients.
4. Being responsible for jobsite safety, cleanliness, security, and protection from the elements.
5. Checking the job pack and communicating any discrepancies to the Operations Manager.
6. Ordering construction materials as needed and informing the Operations Manager of specialty items needed.
7. Always acting in a manner that represents the principles of the Company.
8. Holding yourself accountable for work performance, actions, and appearance.
9. Dressing in the provided company uniform.
10. Producing projects in accordance with the plans and specifications.
11. Being able to problem solve without the direction of superiors.
Essential requirements for the role of Bench Joiner / Site Joiner:
1. Have your own tools and PPE.
2. A valid CSCS card.
3. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in this line of work.
4. Full UK Driving license.
5. The ability to perform physical manual labour.
About you
To be successful in the role of Bench Joiner / Site Joiner, you will have / be:
1. At least 3 years bench hand joinery experience.
2. Experience in refurbishing timber windows and doors.
3. Competent in all aspects of joinery, kitchen cabinetry, and bedrooms.
4. Experience in setting up and using all kinds of woodworking machinery.
5. Experience using all kinds of hand-held power tools.
6. Experience using woodworking hand tools.
7. Excellent attention to detail.
8. Punctual and organized.
9. Ability to understand technical drawings.
10. Able to work quickly, accurately, and consistently.
11. Self-motivated and an energetic team player.
12. Able to work independently as well as in a team.
13. A desire to continuously learn and improve.
About the hours & rewards
In the role of Bench Joiner / Site Joiner, your hours of work will be 7.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday with regular overtime. There is a salary on offer of £25,000 to £31,000 per annum, dependent on experience, and benefits include:
