What you'll be doing
Reporting into the Senior Project Manager, the Investment Delivery Project Coordinator will provide technical and operational expertise to identify and deliver North Wales' District Investment projects, covering Underground Cable Projects at a value of circa £5m across the LV, 11kV, and 33kV networks.
This role involves close collaboration with design and development teams, Framework Partners, and other key stakeholders, including local authorities, to deliver cable works necessary for modernising and growing our network capacity within budget and timelines.
Additionally, the role includes managing site construction aspects to ensure safety and quality compliance, coordinating all project aspects assigned by the Project Leader or Senior Engineer, and assisting in the design and delivery of the works in collaboration with the Engineer or Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure designs delivered comply with Company and statutory requirements and update the business on required changes as they arise, working with the engineering team.
* Project management and financial control of projects (control, forecasting expenditure, income, variations, and scheme management).
* Ensure effective communications with key stakeholders providing regular updates in relation to project timescales and delivery.
* Respond appropriately to Customer Complaints, taking ownership and resolving as appropriate.
* Focus on continuous improvement through quality processes.
* Ensure that all projects are delivered within timescales and to costs.
* Co-ordination of field staff/Contractors/ material requirements etc.
* Required standard of safety, quality and environmental management met.
* Work towards a zero accident culture and lead by example.
* Deliver excellent customer service to all aspects of your operation and actively promote customer service standards within area of responsibility.
* Comply with site and workplace audits with attendance at essential meetings, on and off site.
* All appropriate safety documentation complied with.
* Provide interface with contractors and internal businesses to assist in the delivery of projects.
* Provide interface with Design & Development to establish a robust programme of works.
What you'll bring
To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate as minimum:
* Crafts qualification, apprenticeship, S/NVQ or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a relevant area or industry (i.e Utilities, Electrical, Construction).
* Computer literacy - e.g. Microsoft Office suite.
* Driving Licence
* Working knowledge of company Health & Safety requirements and compliance.
You'll also bring:
* Understanding of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices.
* Understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation.
* Awareness of network development policies and procedures.
* Developed customer service skills.
* Knowledge of network and the network management systems.
* Contract management skills and general commercial & regulatory awareness. (i.e. NEC4)
* Developed negotiation, communication and people management skills.
* Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges.
* Ability to learn and be proficient in corporate IT applications.
* Will need to learn SAP to raise P.O.'s, material requisitions and Teco schemes.
