We are currently seeking an Authorisations Co-ordinator to join our Authorisations team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding member firms through the Direct Authorisation process with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), ensuring a seamless and successful outcome.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary contact for firms throughout the FCA authorisation process.
* Manage multiple applications simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with member firms to provide guidance and support.
* Gather, review, and compile all necessary information for FCA applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Liaise with both the applicant firms and the FCA to maintain transparency and manage expectations.
* Assist firms with other FCA approval processes such as Variation of Permission and Senior Management applications.
* Provide expert advice and support to firms responding to FCA queries.
* Keep application records up to date and maintain accurate documentation.
Key Competencies:
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain complex regulatory requirements clearly.
* Customer Service: Ability to build rapport, understand member firms' needs, and manage expectations effectively.
* Time & Self-Management: Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, and accountability for own workload.
* IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, CRM, and Sage.
* Problem-Solving: Strong research and analytical skills to support decision-making.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of the FCA requirements and financial services industry.
* Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and support colleagues within the Authorisations team.
Person Specification:
* Organised, practical, and process-driven.
* Professional attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Level 4 qualification(desired).
* Financial Services qualifications.
* Relevant experience in the Financial Services industry.
* Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous.
* First-hand experience of dealing with the Financial Conduct Authority.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
