Admin / Library / Resources Assistant
32.5 hours per week (8.30am – 3.30pm)
Term Time only (38 weeks per year)
Grade 3 - £12.45 to £12.65 per hour (pay award pending)
St Mary’s CE Middle School, Puddletown, has a rare and exciting vacancy for an Admin / Library / Resources Assistant who will be the welcoming face of the school, providing vital support to students, staff, and parents. You will provide admin support while also supporting in our school library and with our teacher’s reprographics requirements. This is a fast-paced, varied, and rewarding role where no two days will be the same!
Key Responsibilities:
* Front Office & Reception: Provide a warm and professional welcome to visitors, parents, and students.
* Student Support & Welfare: Assist with first aid, medication, lost property and daily student needs.
* Administrative Support: Maintain accurate student records, assist with forms, filing, and correspondence.
* Librarian: Assist with issuing books to students, administering the library management system including adding new books to the system.
* Resources: Support with printing, photocopying, ordering supplies and maintaining equipment.
What We’re Looking For:
* A friendly and professional individual with strong interpersonal skills.
* A proactive team player who can multitask in a fast-paced school environment.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Previous administrative experience (school experience preferred but not essential).
* Excellent communication skills – confident in dealing with staff, students, and parents.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Willingness to undertake training in first aid and fire marshal duties.

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.
The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.
