We are The Edmund Trust, a charity that helps and supports people with learning & physical disabilities, complex needs & Autism within our local services; Supported Living, Respite, Community and Residential Care.
We are looking for caring, compassionate and dedicated support workers to join our team. At our Histon service, which offers short term and emergency respite stays, bringing a new and rewarding experience each day.
Key responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities including personal care, meal preparation and household tasks. Supporting people in engaging with community and social events. Adapting to the varying needs of each person ensuring their stay in enjoyable and comfortable.
No previous experience required as full training will be given
The ideal candidate would have strong communication skills, able to work as a team but also independently and have a positive attitude.
A Full UK Drivers Licence is required for this role, to meet the needs of the people we are supporting, but you do not need your own vehicle
A willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and sleep in shifts.
Full and Part time positions available.
FTE – £25,028 based on 40 hours per week
