We’ve partnered with PLAION to help them find a UK PR Manager to shape and deliver impactful, measurable, and strategic communications plans for PLAION’s titles in the UK.
As the UK PR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing impactful, measurable, and strategic communications plans for PLAION’s titles in the UK. Reporting to the UK Head of Communications, you will manage relationships with journalists, influencers, and other stakeholders to increase awareness and excitement around PLAION’s portfolio.
From crafting standout PR campaigns to coordinating events and leveraging media opportunities, this role will see you combine your creative vision with hands-on execution.

Your responsibilities…
1. Assist in planning, developing, and delivering title-specific PR and communications strategies for multi-platform video game launches in the UK.
2. Collaborate with the UK Head of Communications to create and deliver high-quality briefing materials, messaging documents, and pitches.
3. Build and support relationships with UK journalists and influencers, developing a strong network of go-to contacts across various game genres and platforms.
4. Coordinate preview and review programs, securing key coverage and helping interview and content opportunities.
5. Develop engaging and compelling press releases, media materials, and news outreach.
6. Ensure assets are strategically distributed to maximize reach and visibility across media channels.
7. Work closely with the UK Marketing team and global teams to align UK PR and influencer plans with broader marketing strategies, social media campaigns, and media plans.
8. Ensure UK activities complement global campaign goals, contributing to a cohesive approach across all touchpoints.
9. Support the planning and execution of key events, including trade shows, press briefings, and industry conferences.
10. Act as a product ambassador, presenting PLAION titles at industry events, maintaining a professional and positive presence with press and partners.
11. Manage relationships with external PR agencies, ensuring timely execution of plans, activities, and approvals while adhering to deadlines.
12. Track, measure, and report on campaign success, providing actionable insights to improve future activities.
13. Manage budgets, approvals, and all associated administrative tasks as required by the UK Head of Communications.
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
1. 5 or more years in a communications role, with a strong focus on PR, social media, or influencer marketing.
2. 3 or more years’ experience of working in the gaming industry, ideally with a major publisher or agency with experience of launching AAA titles an added bonus.
3. Track record of delivering high-impact campaigns.
4. Educated to graduate level or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g., MBA).
5. A keen gamer with knowledge of the gaming industry and media landscape.
6. Strong personal contacts within media, influencers, partners, and external agencies.
7. Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Strategic and innovative approach to PR and communications.
9. Meticulous approach to planning, recording, and reporting.
10. A logical thinker with creative problem-solving skills.
11. Proficient with MS Office and digital collaboration tools.
12. Comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple work streams.
13. Willingness and ability to travel internationally as needed.
