Responsibilities include:
1. Support and coach the team to ensure they reach their potential in both the shop and kitchen.
2. Support the training pathways to ensure training happens on time.
3. Lead by example and be hands-on when required.
4. Assign duties amongst team members to match individual productivity rates, skill sets and current responsibilities.
5. Coach the team for good performance by offering regular feedback and praise.
Service Standards:
* Lead the Speed of Service principles.
* Ensure the team follows the 6 Key Points of Service.
* Follow the MBWA principles.
* Empower the team to deliver engaging Joy of Pret activities.
* Role model the 3Bs: Be Kind, Be Honest, Be Generous.
* Ensure the Coffee Calling System is followed efficiently.
* Ensure all Marketplace orders are prepared promptly and accurately.
Food and Drink Quality:
* Deliver delicious food by following the 6 Key Points of Production.
* Follow the 11-Step Production Process to ensure safety and quality.
* Prioritize customer needs without compromising quality or freshness.
* Use How to Cards and follow them consistently to meet Pret standards.
* Perform Line Checks regularly and act on any improvements needed.
* Avoid displaying Made to Sell rejects in our Langars.
* Develop the team’s knowledge about our food and coffee quality.
* Ensure Barista Prepared Drinks are made consistently to high standards.
* Maintain Food Safety and Health & Safety Standards at all times.
* Monitor and record safety checks properly.
* Take immediate corrective action on issues affecting customers, the team, or sales.
* Keep the shop clean, safe, and equipment well maintained.
* Proactively monitor standards and view the shop through customers’ eyes using MBWA principles.
* Report and escalate any quality issues diligently.
* Maximize sales, efficiency, and profit through the Big 4 (Forecasting, Rota, Ordering & Production).
* Order accurately based on business needs.
* Lead and follow up on Mystery Shopper requirements.
* Control stock effectively following the 7 Steps of Unaccounted.
* Follow Pret’s Financial Standards to minimize risks and ensure safety.
* Adhere to merchandising guidelines and use marketing effectively to drive sales.
Growing Sales:
* Follow merchandising guidelines and use marketing to boost sales.
* Support successful food launches.
* Encourage clear communication between kitchen and front of house to meet business needs.
