Job Summary
We are looking for skilled and compassionate therapists to join our BRAVE (Building Resilience and Validating Emotions) Project as Cognitive Behaviour Therapist, Dialectical Behaviour Therapist, or Creative Therapist.
CBT & DBT therapists will be accredited (or working towards accreditation) and, for those who are CBT and DBT trained, registered with the British Psychological Society.
Creative Therapists such as Art, Play, Lego and Music therapists must be accredited, and should have experience of working with children and young people, or a further qualification/teaching or degree to work with children and young people.
The service will include CBT, DBT and Creative Therapy support, using both one to one and group therapy interventions for each therapeutic approach over a 6 to 12 week period.
Mind Children and Young Person's (CYP) Therapists are line-managed by the Project Coordinator. They will be based in Medway for in-person delivery of sessions and must be flexible to travel across Medway to pre-approved venues (including schools where appropriate). Mind CYP Therapists work between the hours of 8:30 and 16:30 with some flexibility to offer later evening appointments and possible weekend sessions on a case-by-case basis, on a full-time contract as agreed with the CYP manager.
We are offering this role on a 12-month fixed-term contract initially with a view to extending the contract subject to continued funding.
