We are seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic PE teachers to join our dynamic teams at two special educational needs (SEN) schools in the Basingstoke area. Each school caters to children with different areas of need, providing a supportive environment where students can thrive.

* The other school specialises in supporting students with behavioural challenges and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, helping students to manage their behaviour and develop emotional resilience.
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in an inclusive environment, using physical education as a key tool to support students' development, wellbeing, and confidence. Both schools emphasise personalised education plans and offer a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for both students and staff.
* Plan and deliver PE lessons tailored to the individual needs of students, ensuring the sessions are accessible, engaging, and help build physical and social skills.
* Promote health, fitness, and teamwork through a variety of activities that suit students’ varying abilities and needs.
* Use PE as a tool to enhance students' self-esteem, confidence, and social interaction.
* Manage challenging behaviour effectively and professionally, using the appropriate strategies for each school’s focus (autism-based or SEMH and behaviour management).
* Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to provide a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
* Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to lessons to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the students.
Minimum Requirements:
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
* Experience working with children with SEN, including autism, SEMH, and challenging behaviours.
* A strong passion for PE and its positive impact on students' physical and emotional development.
* Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
* Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of SEN needs.
* Collaborative and supportive approach to working with colleagues and external professionals.
Additional Information:
* All candidates must have or be willing to obtain an enhanced Child clearance DBS check on the Update Service.
* Term-time only position, working Monday to Friday.
* Competitive weekly pay.
* Supportive, inclusive, and dynamic work environment.
* Opportunities for professional development and training.
Both schools are committed to providing high-quality education and care for students with a range of complex needs. Whether you will be supporting students with autism or those facing behavioural challenges, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in their lives by promoting physical activity, health, and wellbeing.
