Project Manager
It takes a special kind of drive to keep the world moving; and due to growth, DSV is looking to recruit. DSV are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager, location can be flexible although the preferred base is one of our Northamptonshire sites. The successful candidate joins a team responsible for leading various project types including new client implementations, new site setups, client relocations as well as other strategic change projects. A detail-driven individual with experience in the third-party logistics (3PL) sector is essential. Applicants are expected to be clear communicators, organised and punctual, and capable of managing stakeholders at various levels.
Duties / Responsibilities
* Manage various project types including new client implementations, new site setups, client relocations, site closures and other strategic change projects
* Lead internal and customer-facing project meetings
* Follow the DSV project methodology
* Matrix manage a team of users and suppliers
* Provide detailed status updates to business stakeholders
* Effectively manage risks and issues using agreed approaches
* Ensure projects are managed to agreed budgets
* Travel to UK&IE sites as required
* All other duties as assigned
Skills and Competencies
* PRINCE2 Practitioner – desirable (PRINCE2 Foundation or other Project Management certifications considered)
* 2 years Project Management experience in a third-party logistics setting - essential
* Experience of managing automation projects – desirable
* Experience of managing new site setups including site fit-out - desirable
* A proven track-record of delivering successful projects - essential
* Good operational understanding of warehousing and 3PL - essential
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Project and Visio - essential
* Good written and spoken English - essential
* Awareness of TUPE law and other relevant industry legislation - desirable
