Job description
The Team Manager in the Children’s Adoption Permanence Team will manage and co-ordinate the staff and work of the Children’s Adoption Permanence Team. They will ensure the allocation and timely progression of all cases where children are subject to plans for permanency where the most likely outcome is adoption. They will have responsibility for ensuring all reports, including those for court and adoption panel are completed to a high standard and within relevant timescales. A key task of the post will be to monitor and collate performance data, ensuring that statistical data is available to inform service planning at a local and national level.
The team manager will be responsible to the head of service for fostering and permanence and will ensure effective liaison with children’s locality and Children in care teams, local and regional homefinding provision and Adoption East Midlands, the regional adoption agency. Full case holding responsibility will pass to the Children’s Adoption Team when a placement order is made, and the team manager will ensure that relevant statutory and legislative requirements are met and children are linked and matched to suitable adopters without delay.
