We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual who would like to take the next step, to gain people management experience and work directly with the Group Marketing Manager.
The Assistant Marketing Manager role will be key to running the day-to-day operations within the marketing department. The role will focus on implementing marketing strategy and tasks. Fulfilling all reactive inbound tasks that are pushed by the manufacturers or by the individual Pulman locations. Working with a fantastic Marketing team, you will gain invaluable experience of managing workloads and supervising team members.
Working in collaboration with the Group Marketing Manager to run the day-to-day operations of Marketing. This is a hands-on role and will require both delegation of tasks as well as being involved throughout the entire marketing mix. Ensuring brand compliancy targets and FCA standards are met.
The role requires excellent communication and time management skills, as well as supporting in leading a team of people to deliver a fantastic customer experience.

The job role will include:
* Collaborate with the Group Marketing Manager to create and implement the marketing strategies.
* Lead and mentor a fantastic marketing team.
* Run the day-to-day marketing operations within the team.
* Fulfil brand audit and compliancy requirements.
* Ensure FCA advertising standards are always met.
* Implement and oversee event management.
* Ensure Pulman websites are current and updated with latest offers and promotions.
* Analyse and generate reports on the effectiveness of campaigns.
* Hands-on with website updates, creating and sending emails, designing and writing content.
* Ensure accuracy is across all channels.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years Marketing Communication experience.
* Qualified to Degree level – or equivalent (ideally with a marketing, advertising, or business degree).
* Exceptional copywriting and proof-reading skills.
* Highly literate with strong communication skills (written & verbal).
* Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail.
* Comfortable with using Adobe Creative Suite experience: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator.
* Full UK clean driving licence.
* An excellent and competitive salary of £32,500 with £2,500 bonus opportunity per annum - £35,000 OTE Opportunity.

Working Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm Working Hours
To be flexible as occasional out of hours work may be required at times, lieu time will be accrued.
Based at: Pulman Volkswagen Durham
Site visits may be required across all Pulman locations – Cramlington, Durham, Sunderland.
Office based.
