An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Independent Domestic Violence and Abuse Advisor (IDVA) to join the Domestic Abuse Team at Cheshire West and Chester Council We have 0.6 FTE IDVA post on a fixed term contract until 31 st March 2026. Our vision is for all residents of west Cheshire to live lives free from domestic abuse. We want to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and their families who experience domestic abuse, by creating an environment that supports disclosure and recovery for those who are harmed and provides challenge and support for those who harm. This vision underpins our Domestic Abuse Strategy If you are a qualified IDVA and passionate about helping people and improving their lives, then this this could be the perfect role for you. If you want to be part of a fast-paced close-knit team that supports each other to drive forward improved outcomes working with some of our most vulnerable residents, then we want to hear from you Our IDVA’s are crucial to the delivery of high-quality services to those harmed by domestic abuse. You will need to be a great team player and be used to responding quickly to high risk and the needs of service users. Experience in a similar role or experience in providing support to vulnerable people would be preferable but is not essential.
