About the role.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, administration and development of the Council’s Housing Maintenance systems. These systems oversee scheduling, materials procurement, reporting, and accounting for approximately £6 million worth of reactive, cyclical, and planned maintenance, involving 90 employees.
You will provide frequent reports for the Housing Service, including but not limited to: Productivity Statistics, Compliance Reports and Asset Management analysis at both component and asset level.
You will collate monthly statistical data to ensure Housing Compliance and Tenant Satisfaction Measure Dashboards in Power BI are accurate and up to date including liaising with Housing Maintenance teams for clarification of outsourced work figures.
On occasion, you will present these figures to the Housing Management Team to scrutinise performance and reconcile any data anomalies to ensure statistical accuracy across all Housing Application Systems at NFDC.
Working within our newly formed Housing Performance and Insight Team, you will have a fantastic opportunity work autonomously but also supported by our team of service experts with a broad range of experiences and responsibilities. At a time of transformation for our Council and service you will work with our amazing housing team and partners to scope out and develop best practice, effective procedures, legislative compliance and Training.
About you
You will bring energy and ambition to lead the development of housing systems. You will need to work accurately, paying great attention to detail, and use your own initiative while working well under pressure.
You should be proficient in using various corporate ICT systems to provide information and generate reports. A willingness and ability to adapt to constantly changing technology is essential, as the Council aims to enhance our technology, systems, and resources to meet the changing needs of our residents. Experience in implementing new systems would be advantageous.
Great ICT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems is essential together with strong communication skills in order to act as our technical lead, providing technical advice to the Council and Users of key systems, as the conduit between the Service, ICT and suppliers on technical matters requiring intervention and resolution.
An expert level in Microsoft Power BI is essential and you will be used to building data connections, managing data sources and developing interactive reports. Skills in a range of software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, and a knowledge of specialist software (such as Uniclass and DRS) would be an advantage.
You will possess good analytical thinking to solve technical problems and ability to manage conflicting demands, resolve issues and meet set targets and deadlines.
You will possess the self-discipline to work alone on data, visualisations and systems, but have the personal skills to work alongside managers to develop our service.
