Facilities Officer Wirral Metropolitan College is looking for a Facilities Officer to join our Facilities Team. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent role offering a salary of up to £25,406 per annum. Why Join Us? Key Responsibilities include: Repair, renew and alter building fabric including applying standard wall coverings and paint materials, by brush and roller to walls, ceilings and woodwork as required. Carry out repairs to furnishing and fittings throughout the College premises as required. General routine maintenance as requested by the Facilities Manager. Carry out security procedures for college buildings and grounds including checking and securing windows and doors both internally and externally. Skills and Qualifications: Hold a Level 2 trade qualification and/or be able to demonstrate relevant experience in building and maintenance; painting, plumbing, joinery or similar Hold First Aid Certificate or be prepared to obtain within 6 months of appointment and keep renewed as required. Be familiar with routine procedures for testing of fire equipment. Be familiar with routine procedures for dealing with emergencies.
