Salary Type: Bucks pay
Salary details: Pay Scale 1-2 (£24,223 - £26,961) pro rota (dependent on experience)
Contract type: Fixed Term Contract for 1 year (with the possibility to extend for the right person)
Hours: 8.30am -3.30pm, x3 days a week, 38-weeks a year

Key Responsibilities:
• To deal with general enquiries from visitors, parents, staff and pupils including answering the phone.
• To act as the first point of contact with parents on a range of matters and telephone calls
• Dealing with children that arrive to school late, signing them in and delivering them to their classes.
• To open, sort and distribute post
• To help ensure that the school reception area and displays are neat, tidy and clean showing the school at its very best at all times (including opening deliveries)
• To deal with lost property, ensuring the return of named items at the end of the day and keeping the storage of unclaimed clothing/equipment neat and tidy.
• Providing first aid assistance as required and recording incidents/accidents as necessary.(training will be provided)
• Photocopying, filing documents, scanning documents and shredding
• Inputting data into school databases and systems with accuracy (training will be provided)
• Ensuring the office is tidy and well-organised.
• To assist with receiving deliveries of stock, checking against delivery notes
• To assist when required with maintaining stocks of stationery and office supplies and overseeing stocktaking.
• Assisting the Bursar with her administration
• Entering data on accounting software (training will be provided)
• Processing purchase order and supplier invoices
• Providing general clerical/office support to teaching team eg. trips, newsletters etc.

About you
Ideal Candidate:
• A school leaver or someone with prior office experience looking to return to an office setting.
• Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desirable basic knowledge of bookkeeping or financial principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• To always maintain confidentiality in respect of school related matters and to prevent disclosure of sensitive information
• To continually promote and support the ethos and principles of the school and to avoid any action that may be detrimental or prejudicial to the interests of the school
Applicants must possess strong written communication skills and have achieved at least a grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths.
