The HR Project Manager supports the Head of HRIS & People Analytics in the planning, control and successful delivery of HR technology and related projects. Accountable for successful project and change management, great stakeholder management and collaboration across the wider HR function.
Who you'll be working with:
You’ll be joining a team of established Project Managers and technical change experts. We’ll require you to work across DLG with colleagues from numerous functions to deliver some critical projects, and act in an advisory capacity, sharing your project/programme management expertise with the wider HR community too.
What you'll be doing:
1. Scope, plan, and deliver projects, to meet an agreed set of business needs and benefits, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality.
2. Ensure projects evaluate the impacts of change on the operating model (process, governance, people, organisation, location, systems, data) and addresses the impact effectively through deployment of relevant tools and skills e.g. stakeholder mapping, communications, training, process design, organisational design.
3. Work within agreed standards and framework to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of Business Change approaches, methods and training.
4. Create effective, informed and highly motivated teams focused on delivering the benefits of the project through working with key stakeholders, SME’s, and other programmes/projects and teams to ensure cross-team cooperation and coordination.
5. Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to own role, in line with the DLG risk framework and meet all the ethical, legal, risk and compliance requirements of the organisation.
6. Act in an advisory and consultancy capacity - provide Project Management guidance, expertise, and best practices to enable others to deliver non-technical projects and pieces of work effectively within the DLG change framework.
What skills and qualities you need:
1. HR technology project delivery and familiarity with HRIS or People Analytics tools.
2. Experienced in providing project management advice, guidance, and best practices to enable effective delivery by non-technical teams.
3. Strong relationship-building and influencing skills to align diverse stakeholders and ensure cross-functional coordination.
4. Good understanding of project management frameworks, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2).
