About The Role
The role includes understanding vehicles re-conditioning, preparing to the highest mechanical standard, servicing, replacing brakes, timing belts etc and accurately completing service records.
You will also be involved in all aspects of maintaining and repairing the vehicles during the warranty period which will include fault finding using the very latest diagnostic equipment.
You will ensure the effective use of your technical knowledge and skills enabling efficient, economic and safe servicing and repair of customer vehicles with a ‘right first time’ approach. You’ll also undertake vehicle road testing and will be responsible for ensuring vehicle parts are handled and stored appropriately. And of course, you’ll also play your part in ensuring that our customers receive great service, from start to finish.
Who do we need?
• Currently completing level 3 or fully qualified - NVQ Level 3 in relevant course or equivalent (e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC);
• It is essential that the person has at least 2 years’ experience working within a multi-brand or non-franchise environment either as an apprentice or time served technician
• Prior use of diagnostic equipment such as snap on or launch however full training will be provided
• A full driving licence is essential

* Completion of Apprenticeship in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent BTEC or City & Guilds qualifications and/or equivalent time served experience
* A full UK Driving Licence
* Great communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues
* A high focus on continued development by adapting and learning new tools/techniques as needed, with a willingness to embrace change
* A mindset that prioritises health and safety matters
* Your commitment to achieve a Vauxhall recognised qualification within an agreed timeframe
